What Will Your Job Look Like?
The Paralegal/Legal Assistant is a professional, corporate assistant with a strong paralegal skill set, as well as a strong executive level administrative assistant skill set. The Paralegal/Legal Assistant provides confidential, complex paralegal and administrative support, requiring a high degree of responsibility for project implementation and knowledge of specialized practices and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage corporate registrations and annual reporting for MTM and its affiliates conduct business
- Complete applications and renewals for Medicaid Provider Enrollment, WBE Certifications, and various other certifications
- Complete disclosure of ownership forms and other forms, as requested
- Assist with responses to letters of representation, records requests, and subpoenas
- Draft, issue, and track legal holds
- Assist with litigation and claims by obtaining, organizing, and sending information and documentation to outside counsel and Third-Party Administrators
- Serve as a Notary Public
- Obtain Certificates of Good Standing and other Secretary of State certifications
- Draft, review, edit, package and proofread correspondence and reports; screen, analyze and respond to incoming correspondence as needed
- Support special projects and initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned
All you need is...
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of five years of corporate administrative experience
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
Even better if you have...
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Paralegal Certification
- Previous experience working in a law office or legal department
- Must be a highly motivated, organized professional with a strong legal terminology background
- Must be committed to fostering professional, cooperative and supportive work relationships within the Legal Department and the company
- The ability to handle an array of confidential matters and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- A high level of initiative is essential
- Superior problem-solving, conflict resolution and/or mediation skills
- Ability to make mature judgment calls
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Exemplary communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to provide accurate, concise, ethical and timely work
- Knowledge of office management principles and procedures
- Proper English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation
